Benjamin H W Wills, BA(Hons): Photographer

A freelance Photographic Artist and Creative Designer. Working through Punctum Photographic - The Photographers Co-operative. My work is highly individualised and with the ability to tailor Image and Design requirements to best meet your imagination I can create complete portfolios or one off photos! Working within the commercial and industrial sector as well as having a strong focus on design & advertising photographic practice.

Born in Devon, England in 1981 I grew up in Tavistock, where at a young age I was inspired by many local community artists, as well as the breathtaking scenery of Dartmoor and the North Cornish Coast. Having studied A-Levels in Art & Design, Tavistock College, it was at this point that my interest in Photography was kindled, and after attending a taster course at Plymouth College of Art & Design. I went on to study a City&Guilds evening class in Photography, and under the master tuition of the late Pete Miatt I gained a Distinction in the subject. After finishing my A-Levels I took a year out and went to travel Australia. In the eight months I spent there I qualified as a dive master and gained an interest in underwater photography, spurring me on in my quest for creative photography.

Having sucessfully gained a 2:1 BA(Hons) in Photographic Art at the University of Wales, Newport I have gone on to set up a photographic co-operative based in Newport, South Wales, with the aim to provide resources and services to photographers. Working with Punctum Photographic has allowed me to follow my creative photography as well as taking on commissioned work and various design based work.
